An allergist/immunologist is a physician trained to prevent, diagnose, manage,
and treat allergic disease. As a result of extensive study and training,
allergists/immunologists are highly qualified to manage immune system
disorders such as allergies, asthma, inherited immunodeficiency diseases,
and autoimmune diseases.
